Q2 Retreat will solidify teamwork in Abia – Oluebube Chukwu
The Senior special Assistant to Abia Governor on Due Process, Dr Oluebube Chukwu says the second quarter (Q2) 2025 Executive Council Strategy Retreat, would solidify teamwork among Governor Otti’s appointees for maximum impact.
Speaking shortly after the retreat, Process, Dr. Chukwu, praised the process, describing it as a strategic move to strengthen synergy among the Governor’s team.
He described the Governor as a visionary leader who came prepared to deliver effective governance and made it clear that the retreat would enhance teamwork, performance, and across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
According to him, Dr Alex Otti, has redefined governance in Abia, disclosing that from what is on ground in the different parts of the state, governance has significantly improved since 29 May, 2023.
Emphasizing the gains, he pointed out that the lecture series on feedback, content, delivery, tools, and attendance would help shape their day to day operations, adding that they learnt and understood that feedback was not a criticism but a free gift that only the unwise would spurn.
“We appreciate the thoughtfulness and openness in sharing the feedback and we are committed to getting better,” he stated
Dr Chukwu assured that he would implement everything that was learnt, shared and inspired by in the Q2 retreat, so that by the Q3 retreat, the Due Process and Public Procurement Bureau would be standing out in the discharge of its responsibilities.
Recall, Governor Alex Otti In his speech during the retreat entitled, “A New Consciousness,” said it was imperative that the appointees serving under him, get equipped with new insights that would help enrich their capacity for execution and the application of their rich wealth of knowledge in the conduct of government business.
Otti further appreciated the Abia Global Economic Advisory Council (AGEAC) for their breath-taking developmental initiatives, which he said would not just give Abia global visibility, but draw in investors to tap into the expansive system of advantages that Abia State offers, especially in agriculture, manufacturing, real estate, transportation and solid minerals.
The retreat which was held at the International Conference Centre, Umuahia, brought together top-level appointees and government functionaries for an intensive session of learning, collaboration and reflection, marking the second of such retreats this year, continuing a tradition initiated by the Dr Otti led administration since inception to build a responsive and results-driven public service.
